Hessle High School are currently recruiting for Lunchtime Supervisors to help oversee the busy lunch period.

Duties include patrol of areas used by Students and assisting the Senior Supervisor as directed.

Previous experience is preferred but not essential however applicants must be able to demonstrate assertiveness, a calming disposition and have a basic understanding of Safeguarding Children.

Pastoral Manager
Scale Point 17 £16,830 pro rata
(8.00am – 3.30pm Mon-Fri)

Hessle High School and Sixth Form College are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and well qualified person to lead the student support team. The successful candidate will join a team of highly committed Pastoral Leaders, predominantly working with young people aged 13-17.

Experience of emotional well-being, behaviour management strategies and school environments are desirable. However, a positive, friendly and confident manner is essential.

Dyslexia Tutor
(Salary by Negotiation)

Hessle High School and Sixth Form College are seeking to appoint a qualified Dyslexia Tutor to commence as soon as possible. The position would be to work for 12 hours per week ideally Wednesdays & Thursdays however a degree of flexibility can be applied if required.

The successful postholder will be responsible for meeting the needs of students with specific learning difficulties / dyslexia including one to one tuition, testing and exam access arrangements. Applicants should hold a Diploma for Assessment and Teaching of Dyslexia or equivalent qualification, be knowledgeable in courses / curriculum relevant to the role and have an awareness and understanding of pedagogic developments affecting them. Proven experience as a Dyslexia Tutor is essential.
